The departmental museum has approximately 100 collections of fruits/seeds. More than 1000 specimens are displayed group wise in jars and specimens. A Large number of fungal infected plants have been shown in this section. Specimens pertaining to Indian medicinal plants, Endemic, Rare, Exotic Cacti, mushrooms, ferns, algae, Bryophytes, Pteridophytes and also Fossil specimens of Pteridophytes, Gymnosperms and Angiosperms are also deposited in the museum. A separate section is made for economic products. Pieces of important timber tree species showing annual growth rings are also displayed.
