The Department has well equipped laboratories to support
teaching and research activity in the areas of Applied Plant Physiology,
Applied Plant Pathology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Angiosperm Taxonomy,
Phytomedicine, Ethno botany , Biodiversity Conservation, Biotechnology,
Anatomy, Embryology, Genetics, Cryptograms and Gymnosperms.
The Department is equipped with Fluorescence & Leaf
Chamber Analyser-3 Photosynthesis Measuring System, U.V. Visible
Spectrophotometers, Fluorescent & Trinocular Microscopes, Phase Contrast
Microscope, Gel Documentation System (Image Analysis), PCR Machine, High Speed
Centrifuge, CCD-TV, Deep Freezers, BOD Incubators and other major / minor
instruments.
